Artist BIO
Claudia Groll

Claudia Groll began her artistic journey over thirty years ago, discovering painting as a profound and authentic form of expression. Her creative path has evolved through multiple stages and styles — from her early naïf works to realism and hyperrealism, later incorporating hyperrealism into textures in a distinctly personal way. Over time, her art embraced magical realism, and today it flows into abstraction, where gesture, color, and material take center stage.
Her training as a dentist honed a precision and manual dexterity that naturally translates into her artistic practice, allowing her to handle textures, layers, and detail with exceptional sensitivity.
Since 2008, Claudia has shared her knowledge and passion through teaching, fostering spaces where technique and intuition coexist, and where exploration becomes a dialogue between the inner world and creative expression.
Now based in Miami, she draws inspiration from the city’s light, the sea, and the tactile richness of her surroundings. Her work invites viewers into a sensory and emotional experience, where memory, material, and transformation intertwine, creating a lasting connection between the observer and the art.
Education
Claudia Groll’s artistic formation spans over three decades, combining formal study with a deep commitment to self-directed learning. She began exploring naïf painting under María Teresa Bobbio, and later developed her mastery of realism and hyperrealism with Marcos Borio and Eduardo McEntire. In the United States, she refined her approach with Carlos Pereira and Eva Roffe, deepening her personal language of texture, detail, and composition.
Currently, she continues to expand her practice through advanced studio work with Paula Rivero and drawing classes with Jonathan Almada, while also having completed courses in drawing and art history at the Museo de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires.
Her background as a dentist honed a precision and manual dexterity that naturally translates into her art, allowing her to handle textures, layers, and detail with exceptional sensitivity.
