Artist BIO
Harriet Silverstein
Born in Brooklyn, NY I was raised in Syosset, Long Island and loved art from an early age. I was selected for honors programs at Hofstra University and Cornell University while still in high school. I am an honors graduate of Brown University (B.A. Magna Cum Laude in History and Art); the State University of New York at Albany (M.A.painting and Printmaking) and L' Academie Des Beaux Arts in Strasbourg, France. I was awarded the S.U.N.Y. International Post Graduate Fellowship to France after completing my Masters degree. My work has been widely exhibited and commissioned in the USA and abroad. Teaching experience includes, Hofstra University, Queens College, Broward County Public Schools and the Oncology Unit at Cleveland Clinic Hospital.
