Katerin Martiniere
Katerin Martiniere is a Miami-based, self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist whose work is driven by curiosity, intuition, and a love of experimentation. Drawn to figurative and expressive imagery, her work often incorporates elements of symbolism, spirituality, mythology, emotion, and the human experience.
Throughout her creative journey, Katerin has explored a wide range of mediums, including acrylic painting, pastels, wood burning, spray-painted murals, resin art, ceramics, sculpting, and candle making. Her work ranges from detailed portraiture and symbolic figures to larger-scale pieces and three-dimensional forms. Rather than limiting herself to one medium or style, she enjoys allowing the idea behind a piece to guide the materials and techniques she uses.
Her creative process is largely intuitive. She is drawn to imagery that evokes a feeling, tells a story, or carries a sense of mystery, and she enjoys experimenting with color, texture, contrast, and form as a piece develops.
Katerin continues to evolve her artistic voice through independent practice, exploration, and hands-on learning. She is currently focused on returning more intentionally to her art, developing her painting practice, experimenting with new work, and becoming more involved in the South Florida creative community.
Education
Self-taught multidisciplinary artist with experience through pottery classes, online art courses, creative workshops, independent practice, and hands-on exploration of various mediums and techniques.
