Artist BIO
Suzanne M Holt
I am a transplant to Florida, by way of Ohio and New Jersey. I recently moved, again. This time to Cape Coral. In 12 years, I have lived in 4 different locations in Florida including the Florida Keys. I specialize in mixed media artwork.. I am addicted to fabric and can't get enough of colors, textures, patterns, and, of course, stuff that sparkles. My inspiration comes from the amazing scenery around me and I hope my work is reflective in some small way of God's creation. My artwork has been featured on the Key West Fringe Theater playbill. I look forward to getting more involved in the art community once I am settled from the move. I have been a member of the Studios of Key West and regularly participated in the member shows. I am always trying to learn something new and enjoy experimenting with new techniques and new materials. I have been experimenting with upcycled art utilizing throwaway stuff from office supplies, etc. mixing with new art supplies. Such fun! I enjoy sharing my love of art with others. I taught art classes for children at summer camp for two years and have since taught classes to mentally ill adults. I served on the board of the Anne McKee Artist Fund, as a way to participate in artists helping artists prior to my move and look forward to new adventures in art.
